Staying on the EPMD tip, this the funniest video from the album with crazy guitar riff and a great beat.

EPMD – So What Cha Sayin’

Unknown February 2, 2011 ,

1st track from 1989’s Unfinished Business is the second album from Hip Hop duo EPMD. Released in 1989, the album built upon the success of the group's previous album Strictly Business, which was released the previous year. The lead single, "So Wat Cha Sayin'," was the only charting single released from the album. In 1998 the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums[1] and, in 2005, was ranked #7 on comedian Chris Rock's Top 25 Hip-Hop Albums of all time list for Rolling Stone magazine.[2]

The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on October 16, 1989. It was one of three albums that Priority/EMI Records acquired from Sleeping Bag Records when it ceased operations in 1991.

My favorite part of this video is all the east coast stars in the video, including Ice-Cube, Easy-E. It was all love in the 80’s

EPMD @ Jazz Cafe, London

Unknown January 17, 2011 , , ,

EPMD one of my personal Greatest of All time groups on the 18th of February. The raw

lyrics, spartan beats and business based albums defined an era. Don’t miss this one.

The blurb

Saturday 19th February 2011 (Doors 7pm)
@ The HMV Forum Kentish Town
9-17 Highgate Road, Kentish Town, London NW5 1JY

TICKETS £18.50 (+booking)
While the word legend gets thrown around with little regard these days it is fair to say that EPMD have truly earned the title through a consistent catalogue of genre shaping classics.. With the release of seven brilliant albums over a twenty year period there are few acts in Hip-Hop that have such a proven track record.

The combination of Eric Sermon & Parrish Smith is more than a sum of it’s parts and with the backing of the incredible DJ and the producer responsible for many bangers for EPMD and Busta Rhymes DJ Scratch they will be plowing through all-time Hip-Hop classics such as ‘You’re The Customer’, ‘Richter Scale’, ‘You Gots To Chill’ and more. As suggested by the titles of all of their albums these founders of the Hit Squad are all about business and it is live that all of their years of experience in the business come to the fore so this is the place to be in London for any real Hip-Hop fans.

Joining EPMD on stage are London’s equivalent in terms of class, experience and longevity Skitz & Rodney P. Having cut his teeth with the legendary London Posse, whose first release was actually a year before EPMD’s, Rodney P has been at the forefront of the UK Hip-Hop scene and secured that position through his longtime collaborative partnership with DJ / Producer Skitz.

The audience will also be blessed with sets from Spin Doctor who will be setting the mood with his own brand of Hip-Hop and soul gems.
